  Steve & Lisa York are a versatile music duo currently based in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We feature Lisa's vocals and keyboards with Steve's bass, and some flute & harmonica.

We play variety, jazz and Latin standards, blues, New Orleans R&B, evergreens, international selections, Motown, oldies rock & roll and classic country.

Steve and Lisa have worked together as a duo for 20 years. We have also played together in countless ensembles as well as many national acts including The Drifters, Platters, Coasters, Fabian, The Shirelles, The Marvelettes, The Del Vikings, Joe King Carrasco, Syl Johnson,  and others. Steve was the US Midwest musical director for most of these groups. Steve was the recipient of the Minnesota Music Academy’s Award for Bassist in 1997, 2001, & 2005. Lisa & Steve were inducted into the Minnesota Country & Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2007. They also received individual awards from the Puerto Vallarta Jazz Foundation in 2016.

 Lisa York  vocals, keyboards, flute ~ From the USA, Lisa has toured with many internationally known artists including Alexander O'Neal, Cherrelle & Pebbles.  She has worked or recorded with Syl Johnson, Ipso Facto & Percy Strother. She has also worked long term solo engagements on several cruise lines and major venues through out Europe and Asia. Major venues include Madison Square Garden ,Nippon Budokan, Tokyo, Harlem's Apollo Theater& the Hammersmith Odeon, London. TV appearances include Soul Train, American Bandstand and The Arsenio Hall Show.

Steve York  bass, harmonica ~ Originally from England, Steve  has several gold and platinum album credits and has recorded and toured with many top UK artists including Robert Palmer, Manfred Mann, Marianne Faithfull, including her ground breaking " Broken English" album, and Elkie Brooks, including her European hits "Pearl's A Singer", 'Sunshine After the Rain" & "Lilac Wine”. He also played on recordings with Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend, Ringo Starr, Mick Jagger , The London Philharmonic Orchestra, and many others before moving to the US in 1981. US artists Steve has worked with include Laura Branigan, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Dr John, Earl King, Charlie Musselwhite, Rufus Thomas, The Inkspots, and too many more to list here.  Steve has played major venues in Europe and the US including Carnegie Hall & Royal Albert Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, Paris Olympia, Massey Hall, Toronto, Montreux Jazz Festival,  Mustique Blues Festival, and the King Biscuit Blues Festival. TV appearances include the Tonight Show, Solid Gold, American Bandstand and Top of the Pops (UK)
